Hong Kong Museum of Art
The Hong Kong Museum of Art is home to a spectacular collection of Chinese antiques and incredible art that dates back to the 16th century. Be sure to visit the Historical Pictures Gallery, which features over 1,000 different works depicting Chinese life. The museum also features varying temporary exhibitions. Admission costs HK$10 for adults and HK$5 for children, students and senior citizens.

Hong Kong Museum of History
At the Hong Kong Museum of History you'll get to experience the history of the city through a variety of fascinating exhibits. One popular area is the detailed reconstruction of an old street. Artifacts, photographs and antiques are some of the other items housed here. Admission costs HK$10 for adults, HK$5 for children and seniors, and free on Wednesdays.

Hong Kong Science Museum
At this extensive museum there are more than 500 different exhibits on four large floors. Many of the exhibits are interactive, with a special section for children to enjoy. All kinds of science are explored here, including life science, computers, meteorology and much, much more. Admission costs HK$25 for adults, HK$13 for children, senior citizens and students, and free on Wednesdays.

Ocean Park
Ocean Park is an attraction that combines the fun of a water park with an amusement park. There are exhibits which include Giant Pandas and a Butterfly House, as well as a variety of fun rides for all ages. This park is so extensive that it takes at least four hours to experience everything. Admission costs HK$165 for adults and HK$85 for children.

Wong Tai Sin
Wong Tai Sin is the most popular Taoist temple in Hong Kong. It features a two-tiered golden roof and colorful architecture. The grounds of the temple offer gorgeous gardens like the Nine Dragon Garden and the Good Wish Garden. Admission to the temple is free but donations of approximately HK$1 are expected. Admission to Good Wish Garden costs HK$2.

Jin Mao Tower
The Jin Mao Tower is the tallest building in China and a major tourist draw and a fine example of East meets West architecture. While a portion of the building is home to office buildings and a Grand Hyatt hotel, there is a public observatory on the 88th floor. Admission costs 50 CNY for adults and 30 CNY for senior citizens.

Longhua Temple
Longhua Temple is the largest of its kind in Shanghai and features a spectacular seven story pagoda. The temple features four main halls, each with its own features. The most amazing is the Grand Hall, which features an ornate statue of Sakyamuni. There is even a vegetarian restaurant on site for visitors to enjoy. Admission to the temple is 10 CNY.

Peace Hotel
The Peace Hotel was built in 1929 and is an amazing example of Art Deco architecture. Victor Sassoon first built the hotel as a house which was half office building, half living area. One of the highlights of this hotel is the ballroom found on the eighth floor. Admission is free.

Shanghai Ocean Aquarium
The Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is the largest in Asia and is located next to the Oriental Pearl tower. There are 28 exhibits which house a total of 10,000 sea creatures. Examples include jellyfish, sharks, sea turtles, otters and many more. Admission costs 110 CNY for adults, 65 CNY for senior citizens and 70 CNY for children.

Shanghai Science and Technology Museum
This museum is filled with interactive science exhibits to educate and delight all ages. You'll get to experience things like the Earth Exploration, Childrens Technoland and Spectrum of Life, which is a simulated rainforest. There is also an IMAX theater here as well. Admission costs 60 CNY for adults, 45 CNY for students and 20 CNY for children.
